Two-thirds of Australia's Great Barrier Reef is showing the largest coral cover in 36 years. The Australian Institute of Marine Sciences noted that the reef can still recover from human actions. However, in the long term, there is still a large risk of more mass coral reef bleaching.

Cheetahs will be returning to India after extinction for over half a century, through a conservation project relocating cheetahs from South Africa and Nambia to India, with further plans to introduce cheetahs to India's national parks and reserves. It's the first project to move large carnivores across continents into the wild.
